enough

After being on the verge of sickness for over a week, I'm officially achy and head-achy...a sitution not improved by the bawling baby in the building next to ours (which I swear they prop up against the open window so as to project the sound--along with the sound of the dogs that inevitably start barking because of the crying--to the whole neighborhood.) I'm just lying in bed all day watching Drop Dead Diva, loving Mouse for bringing me soup, and still taking care of Gold Line issues via email.

when work gives you lemons, squeeze them into random open wounds

So annoyed that getting Heather's chapbook to the public for purchase is this frigging difficult, and our press/distributor is not helping at all. Spent the whole day getting that dealt with, plus driving Jilly to the airport and getting Jeff's site live.

jillybean and pot lucky

Jilly came back to LA before her flight to Austin, and I got her to like eggplant and advised her on makeup purchases. Before that, YSF had a head mentor pot luck, and I got to tell my tales of uncooperative school and missing mentor woe.

brother-in-law

I built a website for my brother-in-law Jeff's business, and it was my first time doing so. It doesn't look amazing or anything, but I'm proud of it, and I wish he'd call me with his cc number so I can get it up live.

fuck breast cancer

I spent four hours today in the Cancer Center at USC because my family history of breast and ovarian cancer on both sides warrants early testing and a genetic screening for mutated genes. I cried in the office because I'm a wimp, and the mammogram was fine, and I'll have the genetic results in two weeks to find out whether I'm like the worst X-man character ever.

congraduations mouse!

We attended Artur's graduation luncheon today, which was adorable and made me and his family super proud. After I took his mom to the fabric store, and then Fun Thursday was chill, but I successfully got Joanna into SYTYCD, which is WIN.

Literally nothing exciting happened today. Unless, of course, you count getting an electrolysis touch up....which I don't.
